Mycobacterium kansasii

Mycobacterium kansasii, a species of slow-growing photochromogenic bacteria that causes tuberculosis-like pulmonary infection in humans. It affects the joints, gonads, spinal fluid, lymph nodes, and viscera. The incidence of this infection has increased with the advent of AIDS.
