monoblastic leukemia

monoblastic leukemia /-blas″tik/ , a malignancy of blood-forming organs, characterized by the proliferation of monoblasts and monocytes. The disease develops late in the course of a small but significant number of cases of plasma cell myeloma. Also called monocytic leukemia, Schilling’s leukemia.
