Mönckeberg’s arteriosclerosis

Mönckeberg’s arteriosclerosis /meng″kəbərgz/ [Johann G. Mönckeberg, German pathologist, 1877–1925] , a form of arteriosclerosis in which extensive calcium deposits are found in the tunica media of the artery with little obstruction of the lumen. Also called medial arteriosclerosis.
