Marin Amat’s syndrome

Marin Amat’s syndrome [Manuel Marin Amat, Spanish ophthalmologist, b. 1879] , an involuntary facial movement in which the eyes close when the mouth opens or when the jaws move in mastication. The phenomenon results from a facial nerve paralysis. Also called inverse Marcus Gunn syndrome.
