mandibular canal

mandibular canal [L, mandere, to chew, canalis, channel] , a passage or channel that extends from the mandibular foramen on the medial surface of the ramus of the mandible to the mental foramen. It holds mandibular blood vessels and a part of the mandibular branch of the trigeminal nerve.
