malpighian body /malpig″ē·ən/ [Marcello Malpighi, Italian physician, 1628–1694; AS, bodig, body] , 1. the renal corpuscle, which includes a glomerulus with Bowman’s capsule. 2. lymphoid tissue surrounding the arteries of the spleen. Also called lymphatic nodule.
