lymphangiectasia

lymphangiectasia /limfan′jē·ektā″zhə/ [L, lympha + Gk, angeion, vessel, ektasis, stretching] , dilation of the smaller lymphatic vessels, usually resulting from obstruction in the larger vessels, such as in pelvic tuberculosis, mesenteric node metastases, and certain protozoan diseases.
