lung fluke

lung fluke [AS, lungen, lung, floc] , a parasitic flatworm of the species Paragonimus westermani found throughout Africa, Asia, and Latin America, but rarely in North America. It may enter the body as encysted larvae in crabs and crayfish. Symptoms of infestation include peribronchiolar distress and hemoptysis.
