lumbrical plus deformity /lum″brikəl/ , a complication of rheumatoid arthritis in which the lumbricals (muscles in the hands and feet) become contracted. A main effect of the dysfunction is metacarpophalangeal joint flexion and interphalangeal joint extension. Compare boutonnière deformity.
