leiomyoma

leiomyoma /lī′ōmī·ō″mə/ pl. leiomyomas, leiomyomata, a benign smooth-muscle tumor occurring most commonly in the uterus, stomach, esophagus, or small intestine. Surgical resection is usually indicated.
