lateral sacral artery

lateral sacral artery, one of two arteries that originate from the posterior division of the internal iliac artery and give rise to branches that pass into the anterior sacral foramina to supply related bone and soft tissues, structures in the vertebral canal, and skin and muscle posterior to the sacrum.
