lateral plantar nerve

lateral plantar nerve, one of the two terminal branches of the tibial nerve that innervates all but three intrinsic muscles in the sole of the foot and a strip of skin on the lateral side of the anterior two thirds of the sole and the adjacent plantar surfaces of the fifth toe and lateral half of the fourth.
