interspinal ligament

interspinal ligament /-spī″nəl/ [L, inter + spina, spine, ligare, to bind] , one of many thin, narrow membranous ligaments that connect adjoining spinous processes of the vertebrae and extend from the root of each process to the apex. The interspinal ligaments are only slightly developed in the neck.
