interdental canal

interdental canal /-den″təl/ [L, inter + dens, tooth] , a channel in the alveolar process of the mandible, between the roots of the medial and lateral incisors, for the passage of anastomosing blood vessels between the sublingual and inferior dental arteries. Also called nutrient canal.
