iliopsoas

iliopsoas /il′ē·ōsō″əs/ [L, ilium + Gk, psoa, loin muscle] , one of the pair of muscle complexes that flex, adduct, and laterally rotate the thigh and the lumbar vertebral column, consisting of the psoas major and the iliacus. The psoas minor is often absent.
