Gay-Lussac’s law

Gay-Lussac’s law /gā″ ləsaks″/ [Joseph L. Gay-Lussac, French scientist, 1778–1850; L, legu, a rule] , (in physics) a law stating that the volume of a specific mass of a gas increases as the temperature increases if the pressure remains constant. Also called Charles’ law.
