gastrin

gastrin /gas″trin/ [Gk, gaster, stomach] , a polypeptide hormone, secreted by the pylorus, that stimulates the flow of gastric juice and contributes to the stimulus for bile and pancreatic enzyme secretion. Normal findings of blood levels of gastrin are less than 200 pg/mL.
