glossy skin [ONorse, glosa, smooth and shiny; AS, scinn] , a shiny skin that is usually secondary to neuritis and may be associated with other integumentary disorders, including alopecia, skin fissuring, and ulceration. It usually begins as an erythematous area on an extremity, usually the hands.
