globose nucleus

globose nucleus, one of four deeply placed cerebellar nuclei, located medially to the emboliform nucleus. It receives input from the intermediate zone of the cerebellar cortex, and its axons exit through the superior cerebellar peduncle. The globose nucleus is involved in posture control and voluntary movement.
