footling breech

footling breech [AS, fot + ME, brech] , an intrauterine position of the fetus in which one or both feet are positioned below the buttocks at the inlet of the maternal pelvis. One foot presents in a single footling breech, both in a double footling breech. Compare frank breech. See also breech birth.
