fetology /fētol″əjē/ [L, fetus + Gk, logos, science] , the branch of medicine that is concerned with the fetus in utero, including the diagnosis of congenital anomalies, the prevention of teratogenic influences, and the treatment of certain disorders. Also called embryatrics.
