dentogingival fiber

dentogingival fiber /-jinjī″vəl/ [L, dens + gingiva, gum] , any of the many peridental connective tissue fibers (periodontal fibers) that emerge from the supraalveolar part of the cementum of a tooth, spread like a fan, and terminate in the free gingiva. See also dentoperiosteal fiber.
