dental granuloma

dental granuloma, a pathological mass of lymphocytes, plasma cells, histiocytes, and polymorphonuclear leukocytes (granulation tissue) that is attached to the apex of a tooth and is surrounded by a fibrous capsule. On x-ray film or dental image it appears as a well-defined radiolucency.
