Davis ureterotomy

Davis ureterotomy [D.M. Davis, American urologist] , a surgical procedure combining a ureteral incision with the placement of a stent, usually for long or multiple strictures below the ureteropelvic junction. The ureter heals to form a watertight closure over the stent, and the stent is then withdrawn.
