Dakin’s solution [Henry D. Dakin, American biochemist, 1880–1952; L, solutus, dissolved] , an antiseptic solution containing boric acid and 0.4% to 0.5% of sodium hypochlorite, used in a dilute solution for wound irrigation and treatment of athlete’s foot.
