17-hydroxycorticosteroids test (17-OCHS), an obsolete 24-hour urine test formerly used to detect abnormal levels of 17-OCHS. Elevated levels are seen in hyperfunction of the adrenal gland (Cushing’s syndrome), whereas low levels are seen in hypofunction (Addison’s disease).
